FWPS is asking voters to renew the existing community-approved EP&O Levy, which expires in December 2026.

This is not a new tax. It is funding that has been continuously supported in our community since 1980 and currently represents 10% of the district's overall budget, funding day-to-day operations. 

Join Us for Family Lunch at Star Lake Elementary!

We are excited to invite families of our Kinder/2nd/4th grade to our upcoming Family Lunch Event on January 21st! This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a meal with your Scholar and experience a day in their school life.

Important Information:

• No background check is required to have lunch with your student.
• An approved background check and Volunteer Orientation IS required if you wish to accompany your child to recess. Background check forms can be found and printed online at: https://www.fwps.org/departments/school-safety-and-security/volunteering-in-schools or picked up at our front office.  Completed applications with a photo copy of a valid driver’s license may be sent to school with your student or dropped off at the office. Background checks typically take 2-3 weeks to process so please submit yours soon to ensure time for approval.
• Adults should bring their own lunch. Families will not be able to buy school lunch.
• Families are welcome to bring lunch for their student. Please let your student know if you are bringing lunch for them so they know not to get school lunch that day. 

Times: 

Kinder -  Lunch: 10:50am-11:25am

        Recess: 11:25am-11:50am (background check and orientation required to join)

2nd Grade - Lunch: 11:20am-11:55am

                     Recess: 11:55am-12:20pm (background check and orientation required to join)

4th Grade - Lunch: 11:55-12:25pm

                     Recess: 12:25pm – 12:50pm (background check and orientation required to join)
