Counseling

As the counselor at Star Lake, I serve both students and families alike.  I teach classroom lessons about developing social-emotional intelligence, I conduct small groups for students who need more assistance with particular topics, and I meet individually with students who need even more support with whatever challenges they may be facing at the moment.  I also work closely with our family liaison to provide information about employment, housing and other resources to our families.

Are you interested in Counseling services for your child/ren?

Our district has begun a partnership with Thrive Counseling, a local clinical counseling office. This partnership will be for students with private insurance, which includes Regence, United Health Care, Aetna, Kaiser, Premera, Cigna and First Choice Health. Soon we will start having a district approved provider here on the Evergreen Middle School campus once a week, and this provider is looking to build their caseload by offering these services to Star Lake students as well. If you are interested in clinical counseling for your child(ren) and you have private insurance (listed above), please contact me to get a referral sent to Thrive.
